How the Co-Celebrant Service Works
Having someone who knows you intimately deliver your ceremony is incredibly special. But navigating the legalities of becoming an authorised celebrant in Australia can be complex and time-consuming. That's where I come in! I'll act as your legal anchor while your friend runs the show.
- You choose the host: Your friend or family member takes center stage to tell your story, guide your personal vows, and lead the celebration.
- I handle the legalities: I will step in only for the legally required parts of the ceremony (usually around 30-45 seconds of talking), ensuring your marriage is fully valid under the law.
- Behind the scenes: I will handle all the paperwork, lodge all forms, and register your marriage after the ceremony. In the eyes of the law, the marriage is the exact same as any other.
- Ceremony support: I can provide scripts, tips, and guidance to your chosen officiant so they feel confident and prepared on the big day. If needed, I can also provide a PA system on the big day.
- Cost effective: Your chosen host can still be a massive part of your ceremony, at a cost much cheaper than going through the process of becoming an authorised celebrant themselves.
